Registered as a society in 2006, MaraGold Theatre Productions actually
produced it’s first show, simply entitled, “Jem Rolls”, in 2003. Over
the next 5 years, MaraGold Produced 27 shows on Bowen and the Sunshine
Coast; everything from drama to comedy to poetry to dance.
Based on Gabriola Island since 2008 MaraGold has primarily been focusing on children's theatre and Dance productions.
MaraGold has maintained it’s purposes are as follows:
1.
To offer full scale theatrical productions primarily to Gabriola Dancers and actors, and then to the greater BC, Canadian and international community.
2. To benefit the cultural diversity of Gabriola by offering high quality local and imported productions.
3. To collaborate with undiscovered artists to produce their shows locally and throughout BC and Canada.
